How to Uninstall Windows Live Mail?

Windows Live Mail 2012 is an email client introduced by Microsoft for the Windows Operating Systems. Uninstalling the Windows Live Mail program on your Windows 10 computer is very simple if you follow the below-mentioned steps.

How to Uninstall Windows Live Mail?
  1. First, close the Windows Live Mail program if you have already launched it.
  2. Next, open the Task Manager by pressing the Ctrl + Alt + Delete shortcut keys and selecting the Task Manager option from the pop-up menu.
  3. Alternatively, give a right-click on the system tray at the bottom of the screen and select the Task Manager option.
  4. In the Task Manager window, click the Process tab and check if the Windows Live Mail program is running.
  5. If so, select Windows Live Mail and click the End task button.
  6. Next, click the Start menu available at the bottom-left corner of the screen.
  7. Type ‘control panel’ in the search panel and hit the Enter key.
  8. From the search result, give a double-click on the Control Panel app to launch it.
  9. In the Control Panel window, click on the Uninstall a program link underneath Programs.
  10. On the Uninstall or change a program screen, locate Windows Essentials 2012 from the displayed list.
  11. After selecting Windows Essentials 2012, click the Uninstall/Change button available at the top.
  12. In the Windows Essentials 2012 window, select Remove one or more Windows Essentials programs.
  13. Check the Mail checkbox and click the Uninstall button.
  14. Wait until the process is completed.
  15. Once the uninstallation is completed, check if the Windows Live Mail program has been removed from the programs list.
  16. Also, remove Windows Essentials from the Registry Editor.
  17. To launch the Registry Editor window, open the Run dialog box.
  18. Type ‘Regedit’ in the text field and click the OK button.
  19. Once you have removed the Windows Live Mail program, restart your Windows computer.
