Setup Email On WordPress

  1. You must know the web host’s SMTP settings to configure your email account on WordPress.
  2. Enter the SMTP port number as either 465 or 587.
  3. Choose either SSL or TLS as the encryption type.
  4. Go to the server’s control panel and log in to your account. Make sure to enter the credentials you used to sign up for a hosting package.

  6. Navigate to the EMAIL section and click on the Email Accounts tab.
  7. Now, create a new email address for your WordPress account.
  8. Make sure to enter a strong password for your email account to prevent hackers from intruding into your account. 
  9. Once you are logged in to the WordPress email account as administrator, select plugins on the left-hand side panel and click on the Add new button.
  10. Type the SMTP mail address in the Search Plugins text box and hit the Enter key.
  11. Click the Install now option and select activate to add the plugin to your email.
  12. Enter a name for your email account and this will be displayed to your recipients.
  13. Check the installed plugins to see the WP Mail SMTP plugin.
  14. Go to the WP Mail SMTP section and select Settings.
  15. Now, you can access installed plugins.
  16. In the From email section, type your full email address that includes your domain name.
  17. Navigate to the Mailer section and select Other SMTP.
  18. When you come to the SMTP host field section, enter the SMTP host address.
  19. Choose the maximum level of encryption and make sure that the host is compatible with the SMTP port it uses.
  20. Turn on the toggle switch in the Authentication section.
  21. Now, you can log in to your account using the username and password of your WordPress email account.
  22. You have now successfully configured your WordPress email account.
